CAD Design for Sheet Metal in Worcester & UK-wide.
We don't just fabricate — we engineer for manufacture. Our dedicated CAD engineer reviews every project for cost-down opportunities, controls drawings and revisions, and programs the laser directly from your DXF/DWG files using nesting technology to maximise material yield.
- Dedicated in-house CAD engineer
- Design-for-manufacture (DFM) reviews
- Full drawing and revision control
- Laser nesting from DXF / DWG / STEP files
Our cad design process, end-to-end.
Brief & inputs
Send sketches, samples or existing drawings. We capture the functional intent before any CAD work starts.
Design-for-manufacture
We model in sheet-metal CAD and review every feature for cost-down: bend radii, hole-to-edge distances, weld access and finish-friendly geometry.
Drawing & revision control
Production drawings are issued with revision history. Changes are tracked so the workshop is never building yesterday's part.
Laser-ready output
Final flat patterns are nested and exported straight to the laser — no double-handling, no translation errors between design and production.
Where cad design is used.
Reverse engineering
Take a worn or unmarked sample part and produce manufacturable drawings for ongoing supply.
New product introduction
Work alongside your engineers to take a concept from sketch to first-off prototype in days, not weeks.
Cost-down reviews
Take an existing drawing pack and re-engineer it for fewer welds, simpler bends and faster throughput.
Drawing control
Hold your drawing master so revisions, suppliers and audits all read from the same source of truth.
CAD Design questions, answered.
Do I need finished CAD before quoting?
No — a sketch on the back of an envelope is enough to start. We'll quote design time alongside the manufacturing.
Who owns the drawings?
You do. Drawings produced as part of a project belong to the customer commissioning the work.
Can you work to our drawing standards?
Yes — title blocks, tolerancing standards and revision conventions can match your house style.
In-house LVD Helius 3kW fibre laser. Stainless, aluminium, mild steel, tin and titanium from 0.5–20mm.
CNC press brake forming with a comprehensive tooling library — delicate brackets to heavy-gauge enclosures.
Coded TIG and MIG welders working stainless, aluminium, titanium and mild steel — sheet, plate and tube.
Electropolishing, mirror & satin polish, powder coating and anodising — managed end-to-end through trusted UK suppliers.
Complete sheet metal fabrication from flat blanks to welded, finished assemblies — prototypes, batches and production runs.
